A 2015 study in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry showed that blueberries, due to their rich antioxidant content, help restore brain function and reduce cognitive decline in aging animals. Consuming antioxidants can enhance the ‘youthfulness’ of the brain, which may help dogs remain in good mental and physical condition for a longer period of time.
